NAPLES, NY (JULY 2010)

Bristol Valley Theater, the central Finger Lakes live professional theater, concludes their all -comedy 2010 summer season with a trio of funny felons in Murderers, a comedy/mystery written by Jeffrey Hatcher, starting August 5 at the theater in Naples and running through August 15.

The Cast of Murderers

The play is set in the Riddle Key Retirement Community—where the body count is alarmingly high—even for Florida. A trio of unlikely murderers–Gerald, a dapper “gigolo;” Minka, a mousy bookworm; and Lucy, a feisty septuagenarian–each has murder on their minds, and a story to tell. The fun isn’t figuring out who-dunnit, but how, why, and to whom!

“Each of their homicidal histories has its own little twist,” said Karin Bowersock, Bristol Valley’s Artistic Director, “that will leave you laughing. But if I told you more, it wouldn’t be a mystery!”

The production will be directed by Suzi Takahashi. The cast, includes Robert Teasdale, Michelle Doucet (both from New York City) and Jane Bowman Jenkins of Watertown. Jenkins received the Theater Association of New York State’s Outstanding Performance Award for portraying the same role in a 2008 production. This production is sponsored by the Talking Phone Book, Canandaigua Quick Print and WARM Radio.

Performances run from August 5 – 15 at the theater at 151 S. Main Street in Naples. For reservations and further information, call the box office at 585 374-6318 or visit http://www.bvtnaples.org
